Anak tertua almarhum, Dikdik Kusmadi, 32 tahun, sama sekali tidak menduga ayahandanya Kang Ibing akan meninggalkan dirinya beserta keluarga untuk selamanya.

"Sekitar jam delapan, dapat telepon dari yang dirumah kalau bapak jatuh, saya pikir jatuh biasa, bapak pingsan terus digotong langsung ke rumah sakit sekitar jam 8.30 WiB," paparnya.

Diakuinya, pada saat di mobil ambulan menuju rumah sakit, ia sempat mencoba menggoyang-goyangkan badan bapaknya supaya sadar. "Tapi tetap tak adaa respon, tiba di rumah sakit kata dokter nyawa Bapak udah nggak ketolong," bebernya.

Ditambahkannya, selama ini ayahandanya memang mengidap penyakit jantung namun beliau tidak pernah mengeluh. "Kalaupun sakit nggak pernah dirasa, bapak tetep dakwah," ucapnya.

Alamarhun lahir pada tanggal 20 juni 1946. Almarhum meninggalkan istri, Nike Wahyu Ningsih dan 3 orang anak, Dikdik Kusmadi, Mega Kusmanada, Diane Fatmawati.
